Internal Audit Manager

We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join our team at SumUp and help us ensure compliance, assess risks, and strengthen internal controls in Lithuania. As a part of a global audit team, this person will also contribute to the other European audits in Ireland and the UK through their knowledge of European regulations. The Audit Manager will help implement the best industry practices for a robust and proactive internal auditing function at SumUp.

The Audit Manager will be based in Vilnius, Lithuania and report directly to the Global Head of Internal Audit. This person will work closely with the Board, Audit Committee, key stakeholders and external auditors. This is an individual contributor role.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan and conduct regulatory, compliance and operational audits

  • Prepare audit reports, present findings to management, and recommend improvements

  • Contribute towards the development and improvement of the Internal Audit plan, framework, methodology and templates

  • Coordinate internal audit-related projects together with the relevant teams

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and foster a proactive culture towards internal controls and compliance

You’ll be great for this role if:

  • You have strong audit experience in the financial services industry, ideally in payments.

  • You have extensive knowledge of the Lithuanian regulatory environment and internal controls. Knowledge of other regulatory frameworks in Europe is a plus.

  • You’re familiar with working in large and complex international environments and managing ambiguity.

  • You have strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels as a trusted partner.

  • You have a deep interest in examining data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound conclusions.

  • You are able to influence and drive change in cross-functional environments.

**Salary range:** 5000 - 6500 Euro Gross/month plus Virtual Options Plan
