In this context, we are looking for a Head of SumUp University who will be helping us create a learning organization by designing and implementing learning concepts and programs globally for SumUp. This person will be reporting to our Chief People Officer and have a team of three learning and development specialists. 

SumUp is an office-first company and the Head of University will be based in our beautiful Berlin office which is also our main hub in Europe. 

What you’ll do

  • Design and execute a learning curriculum and training sessions that are aligned with our organisational objectives and values

  • Actively participate in the development of multi-faceted learning methodologies, including onsite workshops, e-learning, on-the-job and social learning programs

  • Keep the SumUppers motivated and engaged to participate in learning initiatives

  • Recruit potential trainers from within SumUp and enable them to become better trainers

  • Identify the right third parties to partner with in executing the learning programs

  • Assess the impact of learning initiatives through clear metrics and feedback mechanisms and improve the programs continuously

  • Refine and implement the program for SumUp Leads aims at nurturing leadership skills and behaviours across different levels of the organisation

You’ll be great for this position if

  • You have strong experience in instructional design and developing learning programs.

  • You’re an excellent writer, presenter and communicator.

  • You have strong project management experience and a deep understanding of adult learning principles.

  • You’re data-driven and able to assess the effectiveness of programs based on metrics.  

  • You’re experienced in building learning organizations and developing content.

  • You're a people leader, developing your team members, and collaborating effectively with various indirect teams.

  • Ideally, you have experience working in complex and decentralized international organizations.
