GTM Mission Lead - New Ventures

Berlin, Germany · Business Development

We have the opportunity to accelerate the growth of our product portfolio by nurturing our innovative new ventures (loonshots) projects into profitable ventures and this role will be instrumental in transforming SumUp from a single product company to a leading product-ecosystem provider.

As Go-to-market Lead you will spearhead end-to-end responsibility for SumUp new venture products, including Online Store, Invoices and Lending; setting ambitious business targets, and cultivating a highly motivated cross-functional team. You will drive growth metrics, oversee product improvement initiatives, and foster strong stakeholder connections to ensure market fit and success in achieving organisational objectives.

You'll have the opportunity to make an impact by owning the GTM of SumUp's new products and making it your personal mission to make them successful.

What you’ll do

  • Develop go-to-market strategies and execution plans for each new venture by collaborating with key stakeholders on a daily basis to identify and define growth opportunities, set ambitious growth goals, and devise strategic plans to achieve them

  • Develop testing and growth hack ideas, set targets and priorities for your team (channel experts), ensure all channels efforts are targeted and aligned, and evaluate the delivery and provide feedback

  • Encourage the channel experts to conduct A/B testing and experimentation to validate hypotheses and find effective ways to improve user acquisition, activation, and retention strategies

  • Stay ahead of market trends, customer behaviour, and the competitive landscape, and ensure that these insights are communicated to the product team to stay informed and capitalise on potential growth opportunities

  • Together with the channel experts in your team, leverage data and metrics to measure the success of growth initiatives, identify areas of improvement, and make data-driven decisions to optimise performance continually.

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 8+years experience in Marketing, Growth Roles or Product Marketing

  • You have experience in setting up, leading and evaluating multiple complex projects, including resource planning, effective risk and stakeholder management

  • You have experience in developing GTM strategies by executing growth campaigns across performance marketing, CRM, retail, and partnership channels

  • You are skilled in developing business cases and making swift, initial assessments

  • You have leadership experience with interdisciplinary teams and are great at fostering a culture of open, constructive feedback.

Why you should join SumUp

  • Opportunity to work with a truly global, multicultural team (we are 3200+ people from 80+ countries, spread across 4 continents).

  • 28 days’ paid leave

  • Competitive salary package and virtual stock option programme
